From sustainable transportation to advanced semiconductors, from satellite systems to life-saving medical devices, the next great leaps in human advancement will be powered by Ansys.Innovate With Ansys, Power Your Career.SUMMARYANSYS, Inc. seeks Senior UX Designer to work in Canonsburg, PARESPONSIBILITIES• The Senior User Experience Designer creates easy and delightful experiences for users interacting with ANSYS products and services.• The UX designer assesses the functional and content requirements of an engineering product, develops storyboards, creates wireframes and task flows based on user needs, and produces visually detailed mockups.• A passion for visual design and familiarity with UI trends and technologies are essential in this role, enabling the UX designer to bring fresh and innovative ideas to a project.• Specific responsibilities include: Independently designs, develops, and evaluates cutting-edge user interfaces;• Continually demonstrates fluency in visual design principles with extreme attention to details with little oversight;• Demonstrates excellent understanding of typography and color theory;• Develops and utilizes master-level expertise in creative applications such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects;• Has concomitant experience in modeling and analysis software and workflows, with emphasis on Ansys products;• Judges importance of, responds to, and prioritizes UX-focused software problems;• Collaborates on and contributes to design and methods patents implemented in ANSYS software;• Works closely with product managers, development teams, and other designers across multiple software applications.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related design field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related occupation.• Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Industrial Design, or a related design field of study, and five (5) years of experience in a related occupation.• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:• Knowledge of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Engineering Concepts;• Experience with modeling and simulation applications including SpaceClaim, Creo, Solidworks, Fusion360, Inventor, Rhino, or ANSYS products;• Knowledge of tools and technologies for UI implementation including Visual Studio and WPF;• Experience with Website Development using HTML, CSS, or JavaScript;• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) including WordPress;• Experience with Figma and Adobe XD;• Experience with creation and manipulation of Vector and Raster graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop;• Experience with creation of interactions and animations using Adobe After Effects;• Experience with Screen- capture, editing, and video-editing tools;• Experience with data visualization tools; and• Knowledge of automation redundant design tasks using tools such as Python and Excel• Additional work location information: Telecommute work from home position within reasonable commuting distance to either the ANSYS’ Canonsburg PA, Waltham, MA or Lebanon, NH office locationsAt Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
