Head of Sales

Our team

We're looking for an exceptional and experienced sales leader to help us catalyze our GTM efforts. You'll be the powerhouse leading and building out the GTM function, ensuring a mature and disciplined sales organization. We're looking for a unique person who can both get into the details but knows how to think big picture and strategy. You'll work closely with our COO and CEO to own the customer pipeline end-to-end, co-create our GTM playbooks, and accelerate sales to payor organizations. This is a greenfield opportunity with no limit to how far it can go.

About the role

  • You'll lead on which customers we target and how we target them

  • You'll design and implement a playbook for prospecting, development, and contracting

  • You'll be building and mentoring teams while also driving deals end-to-end

  • You'll be strategizing on how we can forge long-term relationships with our customers and not just "short-term wins"

  • You'll be owning the development and scaling of sales operations, processes, and best practices (e.g., sales collateral, CRM management, KPI/metric tracking, etc)

  • You'll have a vision for how Anterior will build its sales organization over the next 6–18 months

  • You'll be working closely with our CEO and COO to develop KPIs for quota setting, compensation, etc

  • You'll be representing Anterior at industry conferences, networking with CEOs and CMOs of health plans to build relationships and generate leads

  • You'll become the face of Anterior's sales team, attracting and retaining A* players

About you

  • You're based in (or willing to relocate to) New York and excited to work in a "default in-person" environment

  • You have at least 10+ years of quota-carrying sales experience selling technology to payor organizations (e.g., health plans, delegated UM entities), in a full-cycle, closing role with strong prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing skills

  • You're entrepreneurial by nature and understand early-stage startups. You know what it means to take a company through rapid growth stage; you thrive in high-velocity environments with ambiguity

  • You have a consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets, closing customers with sales cycles of 12+ months, ACVs of at least $250k, with 4 or more stakeholders (including C-Suite executives)

  • You stand out in how you're able to build rapport and personal relationships with payors

  • Technically proficient and comfortable with sales and marketing tools, with strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • You have a deep knowledge of healthcare and payor trends; you are opinionated and able to speak intelligently about the future of AI in Healthcare, even if not an AI expert

Hiring Process & Application

  1. Review: Submit CV/resume

  2. Screening Call (30 mins): A call with our team to talk through your current/past experience, your motivations and tell you more about Anterior

  3. Role Fit Interview (45 mins): Here, you'll meet either the Hiring Manager or a team member of a similar level to discuss your ways of working and understand your skillset and ability for the role.

  4. Take Home & Competency Deep Dive (1 hour) This interview usually consists of a practical element (case study, Presentation, Technical Problem Solving etc) designed to give you a broader understanding of how we drive impact at Anterior. This will be with the hiring manager and one other team member.

  5. Culture Interview (45 mins): A conversation with one of our Culture Champions. We assess your team fit based on our values.
