Anthology’s Marketing and Enrollment organization is looking for a knowledgeable, results-oriented Media Services Manager to join our Marketing and Media delivery team and work directly with our Higher Education partners. With a heavy emphasis on using data and analytics to optimize the best strategic marketing approach, you will focus on executing and managing paid media campaigns on behalf of our university clients. You will report to the Director, Marketing and Media Strategy supporting implementation, management, analysis, and optimization of multiple client media campaigns related to lead generation and down-funnel enrollment performance.

 

You will play a critical role in the tactical execution of the media plans developed to support the student recruitment strategy of the institution. You will also collaborate with various groups within the larger Anthology Marketing and Enrollment Services teams including account management, creative, enrollment, and operations. A collaborative, proactive approach to driving performance and contributing to positive customer satisfaction is paramount to success in this position.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:  

  • Supporting the execution of lead generation solutions across a variety of media channels, including placing media buys and setting up campaigns with primary focus on digital channels (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, etc.); knowledge of traditional media buying (TV, Radio, Print, Out-of-Home) is a plus
  • Managing the day-to-day media buying processes, optimizations and vendor relationships for multiple select customers
  • Assisting the Director in managing customer budgets and media billing; tracking spending and any changes in budget, providing clear and concise internal updates
  • Monitoring ad campaigns for performance, ensuring campaigns are pacing accordingly, managing spend, optimizing and troubleshooting campaigns across media channels
  • Tracking reporting metrics and KPIs to ensure effectiveness of media services, and bring forward insights, results, and suggest optimizations (e.g. keyword research, ad copy testing, media channel expansions, landing page tests) to ensure deliverables meet or exceed customer’s objectives and success measures, timing expectations and budget, by tracking media performance vs benchmarks
  • Working cross-functionally with other teams (Enrollment, Creative, Operations, Account Management, etc.) to ensure execution of media campaigns and tracking of KPIs/performance metrics
  • Establishing and maintaining knowledge of the latest innovations and opportunities impacting SEM, social media, programmatic display, and the overall digital media and marketing landscape

 

The Candidate:  

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent experience 
  • 5-8 years of media buying/planning experience in an agency or in-house marketing department with a focus on digital media
  • Strong working knowledge of and well-versed in media self-serve ad platforms and performance tools, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics, and other media management tools
  • Experience with B2C marketing campaigns with varying objectives, including but not limited to awareness, lead generation, demand generation and remarketing 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working within the US consumer market
  • Experience managing to a wide range of media/marketing budgets, from $100k to $1M+ annually 
  • Fluent understanding of all aspects of paid media advertising, media strategy and standard KPI measurements
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations as part of forecasted outcomes/implications 
  • Independent, self-starter with strong accountability, prioritization, project management and coordination skills; and ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment 
  • Strong critical thinking, project management and time management skills 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF C2 level or above

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:  

  • Experience in higher education industry
  • Basic understanding of CRM, Marketing Automation and Data Analysis (Salesforce products, Microsoft Power BI, etc.) tools and reporting 
  • Current certifications in Google Search Ads and Facebook Ads Media Buying (or willing to get certified in both in first 90 days)
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
