Title  Anthropologie Social Copywriter

Reports to Editorial Content Manager

Overview                     

The Social Copywriter will partner with the Editorial Content Managers, Social Media team, and other key stakeholders to concept, write, and edit marketing copy across all Anthropologie social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter). Using a keen awareness of (and interest in) fashion, home, beauty, and bridal trends, this team member will pivot quickly in response to business needs and executive feedback, consistently producing compelling copy

Responsibilities       

• Ideate, write, edit, and proofread creative social copy for Instagram/TikTok/Facebook/Twitter captions, IG Stories, IG Reels/TikTok videos, and Pinterest boards/PIN Ideas with direction from the brand’s Social Media, Creative, Merchandising, and Digital/Brand Marketing teams
• Concept and execute creative editorial ideas and social campaigns, from videos to giveaways to new arrivals/journal drops to seasonal collection launches, and more
• Work closely with the Social Media team to shape savvy, business-optimizing social media content that inspires the customer, informs messaging goals, and drives conversion/KPIs
• Collaborate with social media managers, graphic designers, artists, stylists, and merchandisers to create compelling, cohesive customer-facing messages on every platform
• Conduct interviews with collaborators, artists, influencers, celebrities, and others to inform story and copy
• Conduct constant research on competitors, concepts, and sartorial trends with the goal of elevating our content, messaging cadence, and brand voice
• Ensure consistency of style and tone across @Anthropologie, @AnthroLiving, and @AnthroLiving IG accounts

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience as a full-time writer/editor in a social media, marketing, fashion/beauty, home, bridal, retail, digital content, or magazine environment

Job Skills

• Eagle-eyed proofreader who is diligent down to the detail and takes typos personally
• Ability to quickly write compelling social copy and brainstorm/ideate productively and efficiently
• Nimble and intuitive writer who understands the nuance of different social media platforms, from IG to TikTok to Pinterest
• Strong understanding of the relationship between words, photography, and graphic design
• Knowledge of, and interest in, fashion, home décor, beauty and bridal industries

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field

Location  Philadelphia, PA

Travel  Occasional travel required
