Please note that only qualified candidates will be contacted.Position: Embedded EngineerLocation: Indianapolis, INDuration : 6-12 mo. contract-to-hireRate Range?: $50-65/hrPosition Overview:• This team supports a number of projects both long-term and quick, high-tempo projects that come in from their clients. They develop code for their Weapon System Integration (WSI) products and various virtual machines used for military training• This often involved reverse engineering technology, integrating components, and parts from different machines and computers and integrating them through embedded development• There are currently 2 longer term projects they are working on• UAI Certification tool that they upkeep and maintain• The other program is enhancing and adding features to the UAI reference codeDay to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:• Responsible for development, integration, test, and documentation of software.• Function as a key technical leader through the full software lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and unit testing, and software integration and test.• Shares knowledge with other engineers and contributes to maturing and improving processes and products.• Adherence to coding standards and best practices, and configuration management of all code is required for this position.Selling Points for Candidates:• Working for a large DoD integrator• Ability to work convert to full-time at the end of the contractRequirements:• 8+ years of experience in embedded development - bare metal programming experience.
