Job#: 2037676Job Description:Our client is looking to hire a Redhat Linux Admin for their junior level opening.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or another relevant field or equivalent experienceAssociates Degree and 2 years of experience, OR 5 years of experience in lieu of an Associates degreeDisplay commensurate knowledge consistent with a RedHat Certified System Administrator and RedHat Certified Systems EngineerIntermediate understanding with RedHat/CentOS 7/8 administrationEstablished knowledge and experience with networking including LDAP based authentication systems and other core infrastructure essentials.Experience with problem/incident management.Intermediate Scripting Experience in a modern scripting friendly language (bash, python, perl, ruby)Intermediate Familiarity with a modern container technology preferred (Docker, Singularity, Podman, libvirt, OpenShift, etc.)Layer 2 Switch Networking with VLANS managementIntermediate Configuration management via any modern standard system preferred (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Intermediate Knowledge Virtualization/Hypervisor Experience Preferred (VMware Or Equivalent)Preferred understanding with monitoring environments such as Nagios, Zabbix, Sensu, PrometheusHigh level of proficiency in troubleshooting Linux performance issues.Position requires US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency Status and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance as well as 3 years of current and consecutive US residence.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working at the CDC or other federal government agencies preferred.3 years of exp as linux sys admin with degree5 years of exp with no degreeRHCSA certification is preferredExperience with Redhat centOS 7 and 8Experience with basic proficiency in linux problemsWant them to have intermediate programming langEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
