Associate Web Developer (JS/Python, contractor)

Applause is looking for a resourceful Jr/Associate Web Developer fluent in JavaScript and Python, looking to join our Tools development team. If you enjoying building out new features and debugging found issues/defects this may be the right opportunity for you.An ideal candidate will be technically inquisitive, highly motivated and a quick study. Also, having a strong work ethic, creative problem solving skills, and the ability to rapidly grasp and implement new concepts will be important to be successful. As a member of the team, you’ll be working in a fast paced, agile environment and must be able to effectively communicate with others. Your goal will be to craft streamlined, maintainable, documented, efficient code that meets our project requirements.Basic terms:• Title: Associate Web Developer• Type: Independent Contractor (1099)• Location: Remote, US-based• Start Date: ASAP• Duration: Thru December 31, 2024; planned annual renewal• Capacity: 40 hours per week, primarily Mon-Fri during standard local business hours• Pay range: $40 to $48 USD per hourDay-to-day responsibilities:• Develop, test, and maintain tools for internal automation and customer delivery• Troubleshoot and debug problems as they arise• Learn from other members of the team and existing documentation• Track and report progress to team leads• Work with the team to follow required client specifications and timeframes• Provide support by building reporting tools and new documentationQualifications:• 2 years of development using JavaScript and Python• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering• Strong communication skills
