We want to hear from you!DescriptionThis is an outstanding leadership position in hardware design that starts at product concept and continues all the way through to mass production. You will be at the center of iPhone product development with a critical impact on overall design. In this role, you will manage and support a team of talented Electrical Engineers working on designs that continually push the boundaries of technology and ultimately improve the iPhone user experience. The role involves the design and integration of custom hardware into constrained systems, as well as working daily with multi-functional technology teams in a fast-paced environment. There will also be opportunities for international travel. BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent6+ years of industry experienceAbility to lead of team of engineers and directly manage their day-to-day activitiesDesire to be a highly visible project leader willing to make difficult decisionsStrong EE fundamentals including analog and high speed digital designBroad experience across different applications and technologiesAbility to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offsStrong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitudeExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skillsExperience with schematic capture and rigid/flexible PCB layoutPosition will require some international travelPreferred Qualifications2+ years of lead or management experienceExposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystemsDesign of complex system architecturesProven track record of leading dynamic multi-functional teamsFamiliarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to productionHands on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issuesStrong fundamentals in Signal and Power IntegrityUnderstanding of low voltage power regulation and deliveryExperience in prototype design and validation of custom siliconAbility to use scripting languages to assist with hardware developmentPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
