We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to join our team and play a key role in managing daily accounts payable, invoices, billing, and payroll processes. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our school while embodying our core values and commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities:Process weekly accounts payable using BILL, Divvy, and QBO, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of invoices.Research and follow up on accounts payable inquiries and maintain vendor files, including collecting W-9s for new vendors.Verify monthly benefits invoices against employee rosters and updates; prepare for payment.Prepare and file annual 1099s, ensuring all vendor information is on file.Work closely with the HR team on payroll system tasks, validate payroll reports, and post journal entries related to payroll and benefits.Assist with annual audits and monthly closing (including AP aging and reconciliations).Monitor and update petty cash spreadsheets; log and count cash from various activities.Provide clerical and administrative support, contributing to school events and community engagements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred, but not required.Extensive knowledge of accounts payable and payroll processes.Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently.Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn software quickly and implement lasting solutions.Strong communication skills with a customer service mindset, particularly in private school communities.Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks with professionalism.Willingness to continuously improve, overcome challenges, and reflect on outcomes.EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled.The Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
