Junior Cost Accountant

Junior AccountantLocation: Charlotte, NC (28217)Salary: $20-$25/hrOverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Cost Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This entry-level position will focus on cost accounting duties and support our finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and ready to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities-Assist with cost accounting activities, including tracking expenses and analyzing financial data.-Support month-end closing by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.-Help prepare and maintain reports for management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.-Assist in monitoring budgets and tracking variances.-Work closely with other team members to ensure accurate cost allocations and inventory assessments.-Participate in data entry, updating financial records, and other routine accounting functions.-Support audit preparation by gathering necessary documentation and data.Qualifications-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.-0-2 years of accounting experience; exposure to cost accounting is a plus.-Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.-Excellent organizational and time-management skills.-Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.Why Join Us?This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to gain valuable experience in cost accounting and grow within a supportive company.
