The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2 is seeking an Application Analyst (Salesforce Administrator). This position requires an individual who goes beyond technical proficiency in the Salesforce Ecosystem. Our resource will serve a key role bridging functional, business, and/or process requirements with technology product capabilities. Their depth of salesforce technology with Marketing, and Sales Cloud expertise allows them to influence both IT and internal business teams to drive technical integration design and implementation resulting in maximum value for Q2. The person ensures execution through all project phases. The successful candidate will have a passion for enabling Q2 to operate their businesses more effectively using Salesforce, together with the implementation of leading business practices, and will seek to serve in a value-adding way as part of a team.
A Typical Day:
Manage and administer multiple applications - Salesforce Sales, Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Integrations
Manage and administer marketing platform integration and applications
Lead business requirements gathering and process mapping sessions, including products, pricing & discounting, output document generation, contract lifecycle, Account, Lead, Contact and Campaign Management, Data Quality and integrations
Drive Key business groups in defining enhancement for key project objectives and scope
Configure best practices to address business requirements, workflows & approvals, and related processes
Perform hands-on technical design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development.
Demonstrate leadership and technical expertise by presenting custom solutions based on the Salesforce platform and ecosystem
Development and programming to further customize Salesforce.com to meet specific use cases, including the use of high-quality source code practices, validation testing, end user testing, and complete documentation
The ability to guide and collaborate with the teams on best practices when it comes to restrictions around the solutions and optimizing out of the box features.
Build reports, automation, and dashboards that provide comprehensive and actionable business intelligence
Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members and clients
Stays abreast of leading industry trends and Salesforce best practices; builds and maintains subject matter expertise on new releases and enhancements that may benefit Q2.
Continuing education to advance skills, which may include a combination of self-study and instructor led trainings, seminars, certifications, etc.
Build cross-training programs (scoping, discovery, configuration, documentation, and training)
Participate in DevOps/release management
Identify unused or underutilized platform features to identify business opportunities and drive adoption
Work using Agile Methodologies
Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 3+ years of preferred Salesforce Administration hands-on experience
A proactive attitude to platform enhancements
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Able to drive business adoption of Salesforce and other applications
Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and best practice
Implementing scalable, robust, best practice solutions
Performs IT functions such as design, evaluation, testing, debugging, implementation and integration of application programs supporting Sales, Marketing, Implementations, Finance, Legal and Support processes and operation
Excellent relationship-building skills
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce.com platform, eco-system and best-practices
Ability to liaise with stakeholders
Translating requirements into technical solutions
Experience in change management and governance
Technical documentation
Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes
DevOps/release management experience
Experience with Salesforce Marketing and Sales Cloud and Marketing Platforms
APEX experience is a strong plus
Implementation and configuration of Advanced Approvals strong plus
Ability to effectively work with business Superusers, IT business analysts and project managers to ensure consistency with strategic direction
Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations
Understanding of project management principles
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results
Strongly Preferred:
Certified Salesforce Administrator
Experience with Marketo, 6Sense, Qualified Chat and LeanData
