Application Engineer - Dental REMOTE

What We Are Looking For

The goal of this position is to lead the dental use, implementation, and support of 3D Systems and NextDent Printing in the US market. This position reports to the Director of Dental Applications and Business Development in the Netherlands.

This is a remote position available within the contiguous United States.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical integration to ensure seamless compatibility with leading dental software companies or dental OEM’s that want to combine their software with 3D Systems hardware.
• Perform a leading role in the Dental Applications team and provide clear direction about product & quality expectations for the dental appliances to be printed.
• Take a proactive role in supporting service/support issues as they emerge (escalation)
• Provide input and support dental sales and marketing efforts.
• Significant participation in product development, offering competitive insight, customer, and use case insight.
• Provide market insight about lab and clinical dental space to help craft go to market strategy.
• Build value propositions and production cost and time comparisons of our digital 3DP solutions vs. incumbent manufacturing processes.
• Help close sales by supporting prospective customers build and optimize workflow in their labs/clinics based on his comprehensive hardware, software (workflow), and process expertise.
• Provide support and direction to team members.
• Active participation in Continuous Improvement initiatives that aim at improving efficiency and performance (such as on-time delivery, cost savings, process optimization and quality).

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in dental manufacturing (fixed, removable, implant, or ortho) required.
• Aptitude for digital technologies in and outside of dental technologies preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in dental technology roles
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital dentistry and proficiency with digital dentistry software packages
• Experience in designing and implementing digital workflow in dental practices or labs
• Experience in product management desired
• Experience with 3D printing desired
• Experience as a dental trainer preferred

• Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data.
• In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance.
