Applications Engineer

Emerson Mansfield manufactures safety relief valves for nuclear power plants and valves for US Navy submarines and aircraft carriers. At Emerson Mansfield you will be visible, you will know the names of your coworkers and your contribution can “move the needle”.

In this role, you will actively manage and drive the technology evaluation stage of the quote process. You will work cross-functionally to provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the quote process.

AS AN APPLICATIONS ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Assist in Engineering and selling of products and serve as a liaison between the customer and all factory departments.
• Maintain proficient level of product knowledge and application.
• Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
• Provide design and specification development support to Customers
• Perform technical and product training for Customers
• Assist in the design and development of new products and tools as necessary
• Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence
• Help to resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives
• Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects
• Identify customer needs and sales opportunities to help future growth

WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years related experience, or an Associates degree in Engineering and 5 years related experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical information so it is understood by all
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage and schedule work required

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Industrial valves experience highly preferred
