Appsmith is looking for a highly talented writer, editor, storyteller, and strategist to lead content strategy and execution for our open-source low-code application platform. Working with marketing, sales, product, and developer relations teams, you will create high-quality content that increases brand awareness, thought leadership, and customer/prospect engagement. You will cultivate a deep understanding of our target personas, help to drive our SEO strategy, and use content to increase the reach and engagement of our owned channels. You love working in a fast-paced startup environment, and are comfortable with the ambiguity that comes along with it.
What you’ll do:
Craft a rich, continuous pipeline of compelling content in support of overall go-to-market strategy and plans that will generate leads, drive conversions, and will be used in multiple touch points across the user journey.
Content types can include: Case studies, industry reports, ebooks, webinars, videos, blog posts, emails, etc.
Take initiatives from 0 to 1, acting as a builder and innovator within the marketing team. Identify opportunities for new content strategies, develop them from scratch, and execute them with precision.
Manage content calendars, timely delivery of all content projects, and ensure that marketing campaigns, launches, events, and other initiatives are well-supported.
Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, leveraging insights to refine and improve content strategies.
Optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.
Develop and execute content distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement across owned, earned, and paid channels.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and incorporate this knowledge into content strategies. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, automation, low-code, and software development.
About you:
Exceptional writer, discerning editor, and compelling storyteller with a strong understanding of SEO concepts.
Background in or, experience writing for IT leaders, software developers, and other technical personas.
Experience in AI, low-code application platform (LCAP), or integration platform as a service (iPaaS) technologies is a plus.
Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Contentful), SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel), and social media platforms.
Able to build thoughtful, strategic, and actionable plans to completion, even in the presence of ambiguity.
Comfortable managing vendor relationships with freelancers and agencies.
Strong aptitude for working independently in a remote work setting.
Typically, successful candidates will have 5+ years experience in marketing, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets in content marketing or demand generation.
