OverviewPlacement Type:TemporarySalary (USD):$71.69 to $79.65/hr (W2)Start Date:07.25.2024Our Entertainment Client is seeking a Director, Publicity who will be an integral part of the Originals Publicity team. They will lead and oversee publicity strategies that build awareness and buzz for assigned Original campaigns across our growing slate (scripted and unscripted). This position is front-and-center in the ideation, strategy and execution of Client publicity campaign launches, initiatives and events. The right person for this role is someone who is energized by working in a fast-paced creative environment, can make quick and informed decisions as necessary, and is able to expertly multi-task while prioritizing and following through on vital department projects and directives. Clear and effective communication, strong writing skills, attention to detail and existing knowledge/relationships with key industry press contacts are crucial to achieve success in this position.Responsibilities:Work alongside fellow publicity leaders to oversee publicity efforts for the Client Originals slate and manage a team of publicists at varying levels who work across all genres (drama, comedy, unscripted/documentaries).Campaign oversight includes: communications strategy, talent relations, budget management and crisis communication.Develop series positioning for assigned campaigns and messaging for producers, talent and executivesServe as a main point of contact for publicity needs for content executives and studio partners.Develop and maintain relationships with the media, conducting ongoing outreach to secure positive coverage surrounding Client's slateWork in lockstep with Originals Marketing, Social and Creative Marketing as well as other lines of business across our parent company to align on campaign strategy and execution to deliver on KPIsCollaborate with talent reps, producers, studio partners and effectively communicate your POV and strategyOrchestrate and support media relations efforts at relevant special events, red carpets, press junkets and festivals, including SXSW, Comic-Con, Television Critics Association Press Tour, Upfront, etc.Basic Qualifications:10+ years of experience in publicity or related fieldAn understanding of, and passion for entertainment mediaDetail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong team player with the ability to interface with talent, executives and key internal stakeholdersStrong time management and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of festivals and experience working across dramas and/or documentariesPeople management experience, with success developing and coaching strong team membersTalent relations experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office products and Google WorkspaceThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $71.69 to $79.65/Hourly (W2).
