Our major tech client is seeking a talented and passionate UI Designer to contribute to their eCommerce team on a 6-month consulting assignment. The perfect candidate will work collaboratively with other business functions and designers across the organization to plan, execute, and launch innovative and delightful experiences that will meaningfully impact the users on both sides of the... platform.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to help define business and feature requirements through empirical data, usability findings, market research, and proven UCD principles
Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing
Present design work to the design team, product team, and executives for review and feedback
Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards
A deep knowledge of usability principles and techniques
Proficiency in industry-leading design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Proto.io, and similar tools
Working with a defined Design System; applying to your designs, and extending the system with consistent improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions
Excellent presentation, collaboration and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player
Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.75 to $53.05/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match (if applicable)
