UX Designer – Complex Systems – ONSITE in Houston, TXDo you thrive on tackling intricate challenges and designing solutions that empower others?Our top Oil & Gas client’s Upstream division makes critical decisions daily, impacting energy production worldwide. This requires a team of brilliant scientists, engineers, and operators who analyze massive, highly technical data. However, these talented individuals often rely on inefficient tools and processes.As a UX Designer on our team, you’ll be a problem-solver extraordinaire. You’ll leverage user research to design innovative solutions for complex technical problems. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and project teams to ensure seamless implementation.In this role, you’ll gain:The opportunity to design for a global audience.Deep understanding of the unique scientific challenges in the Oil & Gas industry.Collaboration with a highly-skilled team of UX designers and researchers.Responsibilities:Design user-centric solutions that boost productivity.Translate research findings into practical designs.Communicate design concepts through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.Design elegant interfaces that simplify complex processes.Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.Adapt to dynamic project needs and priorities.Contribute to a unified design language for upstream technical applications.Champion proper design principles and processes.Qualifications:3+ years of UX design experience (or a relevant Master’s degree).Collaborative spirit and ability to work with diverse teams.Initiative, flexibility, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.Consensus-building and compromise skills.Experience designing for web/desktop applications.Experience with Agile software development.A portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and design process.Ability to work on-site (Houston campus) 4-5 days per week.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with complex technical domains or expert systems.Designing systems optimized for expert users.Knowledge of real-time data systems and collaborative editing models.Join our client and make a significant impact through innovative design!The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43 to $50 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
