People Operations Manager

Arc is seeking a People Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of administrative and operational tasks to support our People team and ensure the smooth functioning of our San Francisco office. This role will report to the Head of Talent and work closely with Arc’s Founders to ensure seamless execution of all People Ops related tasks.


Location: San Francisco

In Office: M-W, WFH optional Thursday & Friday


🚀 What you’ll do:
  • Office Management: Run the SF office, ensuring that it is clean and tidy, dishes are done, trash is out, tables are wiped down, supplies are ordered, etc.
  • Handle day to day: ad-hoc requests/put out fires, etc. A big part of this job is taking whatever comes each day and running with it.
  • Employee and Customer Events: Plan, research, share, and execute Arc culture and customer events, including team building activities, happy hours offsites, etc. You’ll be given a budget and autonomy to drive events.
  • Company All Hands and Arc Wiki: Create, schedule and coordinate company all-hands and the corresponding decks and ensure that all necessary collateral is updated in the Arc Wiki after each meeting.
  • Customer and Employee Swag Distribution: Run point on distribution of swag to both customers and employees, tracking distribution and communicating with all stakeholders. Ensure Welcome to Arc bags are delivered to new hires by the morning of their first day at the latest.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Work with the finance team to reconcile monthly expenses and ensure that all reimbursements are processed in a timely manner.
  • New Employee Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new employees via email and Rippling. Schedule onboarding meetings and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed. Confirm that new employees have completed Vanta.
  • Equipment Management: In partnership w/ our IT vendor, manage the distribution of equipment to employees, ensuring that all necessary supplies are ordered and available in the office.
  • Birthdays and Anniversaries: Track employee birthdays and anniversaries and make appropriate announcements in Slack. Ensure birthday gift cards, anniversary totes and pins, or celebration treats for the office have been ordered and sent.

  • Attitude is everything for this role - you are a people person, you are happy when others are happy and you’re always thinking one step ahead.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You are always thinking one step ahead and always communicating proactively. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Can do mindset, no job is too big or too small. You always raising your hand and running with things from A to Z.  
  • Proficient in Google Suite and slack. 
  • Experience with Rippling a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 1+ years of experience in office, People, event, or admin support.
