Senior Procurement Manager

Job Title: Senior Procurement ManagerDepartment: Construction ManagementReports To: Project Controls ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Summary: As the Senior Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the management of the procurement personnel and all day to day procurement activities on Arcadis / DPS projects. Interacting with the project managers, department managers, client personnel, accounts payable and procurement staff to ensure that the procurement activities are handled in an ethical manner to achieve the best pricing and schedule for the project. Responsible for the oversight of the procurement data bases, Procore, Deltek, ConstructSecure, and any other systems used by procurement. Responsible for establishing standardized procedures, methods, and processes for procurement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Excellent negotiating skills• Strong knowledge of contract law• Able to manage numerous projects and a team of procurement professionals• Assist with proposals• Oversee the procurement aspects on all DPS projects• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement for projects• Work well with project managers and department managers• Excellent communication skills both written and oral• High proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn operating system• Excellent knowledge of Procore, ConstructSecure and Deltek is a plusManage projects from a procurement perspective• Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously• Excellent analytical skills and math aptitude• Problem solving/troubleshooting skills• Advanced Excel skill required• Maintain a positive vendor/subcontractor relationshipQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Develop content for presentations and articles for publication.• Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Software Skills: Deltek, Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, ConstructSecureCertificates and Licenses: N/A Supervisory Responsibilities:• Oversee the procurement aspects on all Arcadis / DPS projects to ensure timely and cost-effective project procurement• Manage all procurement staff including DPS PDRs and CPDs• Mentor procurement staff• Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
