Senior Staff Engineer, Electric Engine

Archer is an aerospace company building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. They are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to join the electric engine design team.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred)
Experience in electric motor propulsion design
Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

Proficient in powertrain design
Provide design mentorship
Perform motor and gearbox architectural design trades
Identify and drive improvements
Develop detailed CAD design
Participate in design reviews
Develop test plans
Work cross-functionally with supplier and manufacturing teams

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering or similar
