Job Title: Archives Assistant
A little bit about our team:
Archives is a support team for the Administration department and Legal & Business Affairs team. Our main functions are document research, retrieval, and digitization. We are also responsible for handling Iron Mountain requests for the entire WMG office. The Archives Assistant will be working closely with Copyright, Legal, Royalties, Audit, and Mechanical Licensing, fulfilling various duties related to the above functions.
Your role:
Under direct supervision, with some latitude for independent judgment and decision, is responsible for record maintenance, retention support, control of restricted information, imaging services, and reprographics.
Here you’ll get to:

Stores, maintains, researches, and retrieves records maintained by the organization in paper, microform, and electronic format.

Images files to electronic format as directed by Management.

Determines appropriate filing structures and retrieval information needed to consistently provide access to external hard copy and electronic records to authorized personnel.

Processes and stores incoming business correspondence by reviewing, imaging, filing, and distributing items.

Cross-trains and provides assistance to all areas of Records Management as designated.

Responds in a quick and effective manner to customers of other general services sections.

Adapts to changing workloads and priorities in a competitive business environment while simultaneously performs as a member of cross-functional teams.

Handles and safeguards confidential and proprietary information.

Must be able to come to work on time without restriction as to time commitment.

Must be able to read and understand materials and documents and have the ability to recognize and extract critical data and information.

Must be able to work at and utilize all necessary functions of a computer in order to complete all the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
We’d love it if you also had:

1 year of experience within a Music Publishing company preferred.

Must have general computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Knowledge of general business practices

Posses a strong work ethic; strong organization skills and pay high attention to detail

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments

Ability to work well in team

Salary Range
$17.95-$21.33/hour
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
