As a Senior Allocations Analyst, you are responsible for the execution of in-season allocation and replenishment strategies, including sales and inventory analysis for brand stores and/or our ecommerce. You oversee inventory levels to ensure that stores have the right amount of relevant products available to customers at the appropriate time. You support the leadership team and are the first to take on strategic, business driving projects.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Merchandise Planning & Allocations team is a cross functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks by finding the balance between the right product at the right quantity in the right place at the right time.
If you were the Senior Allocations Analyst now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:- Managing the overall replenishment process for a subset of brand stores - from initial allocation to exit
- Collaborating with the Allocations Leadership team to lead in mastery and lead others ensuring a strong culture of growth and development
- Supporting the mentorship and coaching of your Analyst peers
- Collaborating with new store opening teams to facilitate smooth stock reservation, reporting and delivery for an increasing number of brand stores
- Analyzing store level inventory and sales to determine trends and maximize sales opportunities on a weekly basis
- Making recommendations on store levels and products based on sales data and store feedback
- Identifying and highlighting any concerns in inventory levels and immediately investigating into options to solve the problem
- Working closely with the stores to ensure they are aware of product flow, replenishment flow, and any deviation or changes to the plan
- Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and the brand stores/outlets to provide insight into retail functions and processes
- Helping to identify regional shortages and overages for the Open To Buy process
- Creating stock transfers and/or return authorizations in season to maximize sales and at season’s end, to send product back to the distribution centers or to outlet locations
- Liaising with the warehouse, stores, and merchandising teams to help coordinate smooth integration of replenishment and seasonal product drops
- Identifying issues and gaps in process and supporting the team to help find resolutions
- Assisting with preparation of management reports and historical re-caps to analyze and communicate business performance
- Partnering with Merchants, Visual Merchandise Planners, and the Store Design team to ensure new store opening timing is aligned and a work back plan is in place for inventory
- Supporting the team with additional tasks as required to help achieve company objectives
- Traveling as required for store visits
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:- Participating in the vendor selection process for a new MFP&A tool that will support the initial allocation and replenishment process
- Managing the flow of inventory to an increasing regional portfolio
- Providing weekly product category and store performance insights to merchandising, brand and commercial partners
- Balancing the seasonal assortment vision of the merchant team, the needs of individual stores, and our available inventory
- Acting as the initial point of contact for cross functional partners who want to work with the Allocations Analyst team or require information from our business area
- Collaborating with leadership and instructional designers to develop and maintain SOPs and our operational playbook
Are you our next Senior Allocations Analyst?- You have 5+ years in a planning, allocations, or merchandising environment
- You have an interest in following the pathway to a formal leadership role
- You thrive in a fast-past, ever changing retail environment
- You can identify and communicate key business insights to management and team
- You have strong data analysis skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- You have a love of retail and an ability to always stay consumer focused
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You seek and execute the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
- You drive breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement of all merchandising analysis processes

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $80,000 CAD - $100,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
