What you will do:

The Medical Education team is responsible for developing and deploying tools, programs, and methodologies to deliver high-quality medical education in support of the GYN Surgical division’s overall business objectives. As Area Manager, Medical Education, you will be responsible for supporting customer education initiatives through program strategy, build, and execution, materials and communications development, program and project management, and professional partner engagements aimed to elevate education, advance knowledge, and empower healthcare professionals nationwide.


Key responsibilities:

  • Prioritize, plan, and execute all programs in assigned area, including, but not limited to speaker programs, case observations (virtual and in-person), 1:1 consults, learning labs, and webinars
  • Create new and evaluate current programs and tools to support future growth strategy of division
  • Proactively manage professional partner relationships in assigned area; drive engagement and strengthen collaboration between both parties
  • Develop deep knowledge of full product portfolio; utilize field rides to build expertise and conduct voice of customer work
  • Collaborate with academic institutions in assigned area; support sales engagements to drive regular integration with residency and fellowship programs
  • Manage area educational budget
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including sales, brand marketing, upstream marketing, marketing & communications, legal, and regulatory to deliver on divisional strategy, and to ensure consistency and compliance with training programs and internal and external communications
  • Adhere to all healthcare compliance guidelines

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities; able to consistently deliver on commitments
  • Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to derive insights from datasets to inform strategic decisions and prioritization
  • Service-oriented; desire to drive efficiencies and process improvement to support customer experience
  • Self-starter, strong work-ethic, able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various internal and external customers
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure role; able to demonstrate high level of poise and professionalism in demanding environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance guidelines
  • Computer skills to include PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of five years of medical education and/or marketing experience; medical device or healthcare experience preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in healthcare professional and customer interfacing role
  • 50% travel required

The total compensation range for this role is $111,000 - 184,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
