As the Director of Proposals at ARETUM, you will play a crucial leadership role in managing and directing the proposal development process to ensure the delivery of high-quality and winning proposals for our government clients.

Responsibilities
- Lead Proposal Development: Oversee the preparation of proposals for U.S. Federal Government RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, IDIQs, and task orders, from receipt through submission, ensuring compliance with all requirements and alignment with ARETUM's strategic goals.
- Strategy Implementation: Collaborate closely with capture managers and subject matter experts to develop and implement winning strategies, themes, and solutions that are tailored to client needs and enhance ARETUM’s competitive positioning.
- Content Creation and Editing: Guide the writing, revision, and editing of proposal content, including executive summaries, technical sections, management approaches, and organizational credentials, ensuring that all content is clear, concise, and persuasive.
- Proposal Schedule Management: Establish and manage proposal schedules, ensuring the timely completion of all proposal components and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Develop, manage, and enforce compliance matrices/crosswalks to ensure that all proposals meet client requirements and ARETUM’s high standards of quality and consistency.
- Team Coordination: Lead coordination efforts with internal and external resources, including technical experts, subcontractors, and partners, to gather necessary information and contributions for proposals.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in the proposal process and work with the proposal team to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Evaluate and continuously improve proposal processes, templates, and content libraries to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the likelihood of success.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear, consistent, and effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, capture managers, technical leads, and partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the proposal process.
- Proposal Tracking: Monitor and report on the status of ongoing proposals, providing regular updates to management and making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
- Presentation Support: Lead the preparation and refinement of proposal presentations, ensuring they effectively communicate the proposed solution and align with client expectations.
- Other Duties as Required: Support other business development activities and tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and lead teams to success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content.
- Deep understanding of the Federal procurement process, including familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Experience with proposal management tools and software (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe Creative Cloud) is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Preferred) in English, Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in proposal management, with a proven track record of leading successful proposals for Federal Government contracts and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
