Job DescriptionThe ASU Enterprise Technology office is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our growing Mobile Engineering Chapter. As part of the Mobile Engineering Chapter of the ASU Enterprise Technology organization, the Software Development Engineer will not only lead the development and maintenance of the ASU Mobile App but will also have the opportunity to contribute to the portfolio of enterprise applications supporting Student Success Initiatives, Universal Learners, Smart Campus and more for ASU. In addition to this opportunity, ASU's Enterprise Technology offers a fast-paced, energetic, flexible, and technically rich environment to advance our engineers in skills and career advancement.This role is seeking both full-stack and mobile development experience along with experience architecting solutions on AWS. The Software Development Engineer will work on products that span across building cross-platform mobile apps with React Native and creating dynamic web dashboards along with backend infrastructure development. This candidate is expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and teamwork as they will be collaborating with stakeholders, product teams, fellow engineering chapters, and others to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend quality solutions.Working Environment• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.• Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.• Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.• Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.• Clearly communicate to perform essential functions.Background Check StatementASU conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications.
