About the role
Our Cloud and Infrastructure Consultant will be responsible for the design and successful delivery of both on premise and cloud based infrastructure projects. The purpose of this role is to understand the customer’s requirements, and to define and deliver the infrastructure solution by building scalable systems. The Senior Design and Delivery Consultant will align with our commercial and operational delivery models and technical best practice when proposing customer solutions.
As a Cloud and Infrastructure Consultant, you will travel nationally to new and existing customer sites when required to deliver projects on time and ensure that Circle have a broad depth of skills available to our customers. There is also a requirement to carry out an Enhanced DBS check (Education Customers)
What you’ll do
- You will be required to understand and define technical solutions that meet the customer/prospective customer’s requirements.
- Align solutions to ARO’s product catalogue and our operational delivery models and be able to communicate the business benefit and ROI that our solutions can provide to an organisation/business
- Have the technical vision and oversight of chosen products and technologies to obtain maximum value for ARO and the customer in the implementation
- Define and document to a high standard the requirements and the high-level design of the solution, working closely with the technical and project management teams to ensure that the solution is fully understood
- Prepare and deliver presentations; face to face and remotely
- Develop long-term working relationships/partnerships with external vendors and prospective, new and current customers
- Provide technical advice and guidance to the technical and project team members, specifically during the lifecycle of a project/handover
- Keep abreast of different technologies and for own continued professional development
- Carry out activities such as certifications that support our ability in achieving sales specialist status for the company’s Vendor Partnerships
- You will be responsible for technically leading Wintel and other assigned projects from start to completion. This includes mentoring other engineers as required, knowledge transfer etc.
- This will be achieved through delivering the project, mentoring other staff members in the project team who may be assigned to the project with you, dealing with technical escalations and liaising closely with the project managers to get the project closed off for the customer within time and budget.
- Nationwide travel to Customer sites and working outside of the office for extended periods of time.
- Client-friendly, confident, eager and enthusiastic individual, who is keen to develop their career long term.
- Project implementations/project lifecycle experience is essential.
- Willing to travel when required. A full UK driving license is essential.
