We’re hunting for a Sr Scientist II, Computational Biology and Machine Learning to join our dynamic Computational Biology and Machine Learning team! WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Design and implement novel ML architectures that leverage massive single-cell datasets to assist with drug discovery and development.
  • Work closely with experimental scientists to guide our data processing and generation strategies to maximize model performance for specific applications. 
  • Publish and present at academic conferences.
  • Train and mentor a growing team of ML scientists and engineers.


  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field, with 4+ years of industry experience
  • OR Master’s degree in one of the above fields, with 9+ years of industry experience
  • Proven track record of developing novel deep-learning models with applications to biological questions.
  • Familiarity with single-cell sequencing data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Strong software engineering skills, proficiency in Python, and familiarity with state-of-the-art libraries for deep learning model training.
  • Experience working in Linux-based cloud computing environments.

The estimated base salary for the preferred primary location of the San Francisco Bay area ranges from $169,000 – $207,000. Salary ranges for other locations may vary.  Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, experience, education, and location. Beyond these considerations, we are committed to pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current employees when making any final offers.
