As we embark on a journey of growth and expansion, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Strategy & Operations Manager to join our team and contribute to our success.

The Arta Insurance Team is looking for an Insurance Manager to focus on scaling our insurance business, working directly with the Chief Insurance Officer. This is a new role at Arta and we are looking for someone excited to create and have high impact! This includes sales support and in-force management, P&L tracking and reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing operations of this growing business unit. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly analytical, strong communicator, and have an impeccable attention to detail. They will be able to lead and coordinate complex projects end to end. In addition, they must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

What You Will Do

  • Support end-end sales process working closely with the Arta sales team, BGAs and B/D - quotes and illustrations, application submission, underwriting, policy issuance

  • Utilize our CRM product to manage sales cycle forecasts, activity and customer feedback 

  • Manage in-force block of business - customer reporting, policy administration, internal financial tracking and reporting

  • Manage agent and agency licensing - both new and renewal - working closely with compliance and legal teams

  • Foster long-term, collaborative relationships with insurance intermediaries and carriers - manage all producer relationships and add and manage new partnerships where needed based on ability to select best of breed 

  • Streamline and optimize internal processes to enhance operational efficiency

  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to support decision-making

  • Build relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders on insurance vertical related operational projects; internal stakeholders will include C-suite, Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Finance

  • Communicate progress on strategic priorities to the leadership team

  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in relevant areas of insurance

Who You Are 

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, technologically oriented corporate environment

  • Experience working in the Insurance/Insurtech industry is a must, preferably life insurance

  • Sales support/insurance case management experience is preferred

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree 

  • Experience working with data and using practical statistical analyses

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects end to end

  • Outstanding executive-level verbal and written communication skills - including experience in developing compelling presentations

  • Obsession with creating an amazing customer experience

  • Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness

  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision

  • Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment

  • Bonus: Experience at an insurance brokerage with sales of HNW life insurance products

  • Bonus: Life and personal lines insurance sales license

  • Bonus: FINRA 6/63 registration

Arta's Compensation Philosophy

We determine your level based on factors including your interview performance, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our offers are based on salary bands that are updated periodically using market benchmarks and consider geographic location as well (for example, higher cost regions like San Francisco or New York). If you are presented with an offer, we will review the base salary, benefits, number of options, notional option value and strike price. We would like to know if you accept our offer within 7 days.

Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.

IC I: $110,000-$180,000
IC II: $160,000-$230,000
IC III: $180,000-$300,000
