Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for an Operations Excellence – Senior Project Manager I to work at our Ave Maria, FL. Location. The Senior Operations Excellence Project Manager is responsible for teaching, implementing, and assisting management in the application of LEAN methodology to shop-floor, business, and new product introduction processes. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.This is a First shift, (8:00am-5:00pm), (Monday- Friday)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Facilitates Kaizen for shopfloor, business and new product introduction processes utilizing LEAN methodology for systemic and tactical problem solving and rapid improvement.• Applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in the implementation of process excellence and waste reduction initiatives.• Drives the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices.• Understands and actively engages management to ensure the right balance of business and personnel needs are addressed.• Communicate with all levels of the organization as appropriate to gain and maintain support for initiatives.Knowledge:• Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards.• Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standard.• Full knowledge of industry practices.Reasoning Ability:• Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.• Refers to policies and practices for guidance.Discretion/ Latitude:• Work is performed under general direction.• Participates in determining objectives of assignment.• Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.Skills:• Knowledgeable of engineering product/process development required.• Knowledgeable of FDA and ISO guidelines for the development of medical devices preferred.• Manufacturing process knowledge required.• Supply Chain process knowledge required.• Project management and communication skills training required.• Demonstrated ability to lead process change efforts.• Lean or Six Sigma certification Green Belt or above preferred.• Leadership —Requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and provide direction.• Knowledge of business and management principles required for strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.• Time management – Manage one’s own time and the time of others.• Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.• Negotiating – The Power to Influence and gain Buy-In from all levels of the organization.• Disciplined Execution — Job requires holding the team accountable through daily execution to the plan. When need, strong detailed orientation required.• Business Acumen – demonstrated ability to work up and down chain of command. Capable of holding audience with Sr. Director / VP and SVP levelsReports To:Operations Excellence ManagerEducation / Experience Required:• Minimum 5 years in industry required.• Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA)Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Mathematical Skills:Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.Language and Communication Skills:Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
