Accounting and Billing Specialist

Ascend Healthcare is looking for a Billing & Accounting Specialist to maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Skills

Prior experience in healthcare billing or related role
Experience with general accounting & payroll
Experience with process improvements
Experience with multi-state tax reporting
Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

Generate customer invoices and review mental healthcare billing codes
Assist in month-end and year-end general accounting books close
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
Support the implementation of financial processes policies and procedures
Provide assistance for annual audits
Process accounts payable transactions
Coordinate and organize corporate legal documentation
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing

Education

2-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
