Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our growing Procurement team as an Accounts Payable Manager. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional service to external vendors and business partners within a fun, energetic, and entrepreneurial environment, while meeting deadlines and performance standards.Position OverviewThe Accounts Payable Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a customer service-oriented environment for both internal and external partners. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with the flexibility to adapt to changing environments and priorities. You will support our internal business partners by efficiently managing the processing of vendor invoices to meet the company’s payment obligations.Key Responsibilities• Oversee the processing of supplier invoices in Coupa against approved Purchase Orders.• Manage the creation of manual invoices in Coupa and/or Workday for non-PO backed transactions.• Supervise the review of employee expense reports according to the approval process in Workday.• Conduct regular reviews of vendor information and notify the Supplier Administrator of necessary changes.• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to respond to inquiries, send follow-up emails, and manage pending items.• Lead regular SOX auditing and internal audit testing requirements.• Provide support and mentorship to the Accounts Payable team, and act as a backup to senior management when needed.Qualifications• Extensive experience in an automated AP environment.• Proficiency with Coupa, Workday, or other ERP systems.• 6+ years of procure-to-pay experience preferred; thorough knowledge of purchase orders and two or three-way matching principles required.• Deep understanding of basic accounting principles, specifically prepaid/amortization schedules.• Familiarity with Travel & Entertainment policies and procedures, and expense report auditing.• Proven leadership qualities with the ability to proactively advance department goals without guidance.Desired Attributes• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.• Ability to multi-task and a willingness to learn new skills.• Proficiency with G-Suite, Word, and Excel.• A team player who can prioritize tasks and gain efficiencies.• Ability to work effectively in a challenging and rapidly changing environment.Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, we welcome and celebrate diversity.
