Product Manager, Parish Products

SUMMARY

The Product Manager is a self-motivated and innovative person who assists in our mission of producing innovative products.  This position manages the flow of projects to ensure timely and quality production and efficient use of resources.  This person is responsible for moving the development and delivery of new products by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the overall vision for a product, and working with an internal Parish Products team and external stakeholders to ensure revenue and all customer satisfaction goals are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishing the requirements and specifications for existing and new products.
  • Communicating the vision and goals of new and existing products.
  • Leading and participating in planning meetings and providing guidance on product direction.
  • Developing and overseeing production workflows within internal and external teams. 
  • Driving the overall vision and delivery of new products.
  • Understanding the needs of parishes and helping to develop new products to meet those needs. 
  • Ensuring that our products meet the best industry standards and align with the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of the Catholic Publishing industry and knowledge of the most innovative and influential presenters, authors, and speakers. 
  • Developing relationships with presenters, authors, and speakers. Aligning them with respective products and managing contracts and payments. 
  • Developing metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
  • Working with our marketing team to research new products and the market. 
  • Developing a financial analysis for each new product, creating a budget, and ensuring that product deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of Ascension’s products, solutions, and offerings.
  • Collaborating with team members, customers, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of Ascension products and developing needs.
  • Collaborating with Ascension’s Customer Support Team and Parish Relationship Managers to understand the needs of parishes and dioceses, address customer complaints, and develop product plans tailored to their requirements.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on product progress and gather their input.
