Klopotek is looking for a Software Sales Manager – Europe to join our team in the Netherlands!
We seek a highly ambitious, hungry and dynamic Software Sales Manager – Europe to build and implement sales, account management and processes across our growing company in Europe.
We are hiring at Klopotek for a Software Sales Manager – Europe who can operate autonomously within an international sales team to bring in new clients for our cloud solutions. As a Software Sales Manager – Europe, you will be pivotal in expanding our customer base for cloud solutions across the International Europe region. Your primary focus will be on operational sales activities and developing new customer relationships. The successful candidate will independently secure new clients, particularly within the SME market.
Klopotek is the international market leader in the publishing software sector. Our software has been specifically designed for the publishing industry. Unlike customized versions of generic ERP solutions, it has been built to meet the unique needs of this industry. It combines detailed and specialized knowledge in this area with modern technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new clients for our cloud solutions within the publishing industry
- Focus on key regions, including Benelux, UK and Ireland (in collaboration with our US sales team), France, and Scandinavia, while also exploring opportunities in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Collaborate closely with the international sales team to align strategies and share market insights
- Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, with a compensation model linked to customer acquisition and success
What your day will look like:
- Utilize your creativity and resourcefulness to identify and engage potential clients through various channels. You'll be at the forefront of our customer acquisition efforts
- Run a full sales cycle on new business at or above quota on a monthly cadence
- Proactively plan your sales efforts, campaigns and execute these
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for national accounts, including identifying potential clients, conducting market research, and creating customized sales pitches
- Find new prospects from both inbound and self-sourced leads
- Run qualification calls with executives and department leaders
- Gain an in-depth understanding of our SaaS products and effectively communicate their value to potential clients
- Deliver engaging and persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to showcase how our software solutions can benefit national account clients
- Sell through internal champions to multiple stakeholders, as well as directly to C – level
- Leverage your experience in selling long-cycle software solutions to develop and execute effective sales strategies. From initial contact to contract negotiation, you'll orchestrate the entire sales process with finesse and precision
- Skillfully negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure business agreements with national accounts
- Stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of technology, staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics and being eager to learn and deepen your understanding of our products and industry trends, ensuring you're always equipped to deliver exceptional value to our clients
- Manage opportunities with timely and accurate notes, tasks, and documentation to effectively communicate the status of a client record in the pipeline
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions in CRM systems
- Work collaboratively with marketing and product departments to evolve our sales strategy when new features and products are introduced
About You:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field
- At least 3+ years of experience in a new business sales role in the SaaS, Software, Publishing or Technology industry is essential
- SaaS software solutions sales experience in an end-user solution environment is highly advantageous
- Experience in a complex selling environment, including enterprise software selling environment
- Highly self-motivated, hungry, proactive and results-oriented salesperson
- Proven ability to drive new business independently
- Exceptional communication skills in both Dutch and English; proficiency in French is highly advantageous
- Passion for technology, computer systems, and a strong affinity for books, reading, and the publishing industry
- Ability to work effectively as part of an international sales team
- Experience in a complex selling environment
- Management of monthly and annual pipeline as well as proven accuracy in forecasting
- Goal-orientated with a track record of overachieving on monthly and annual targets
- You will also have a proven ability to drive results, be resilient during challenging sales situations, have a customer-first mentality and a strong growth mindset
- Ability to engage effectively with a range of clients, from new client acquisition to nurturing existing accounts
- Experience working with executive-level decision-makers
- A high performer with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and goals
- Ability to deliver effective presentations to live audiences, both in person and online
- Capable of working remotely with various groups and cultures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office solutions and Salesforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English are essential, with an additional European language being highly advantageous
- Legally authorized to work in the Netherlands
