The Buyer will be responsible for creating and monitoring purchase orders, cost analysis, and supplier management to negotiate cost, terms, and lead times. Updating and maintaining management reports and ERP supply chain data. Monitoring inventory levels and assisting the development of inventory management strategies and processes. Assisting on cross functional teams to ensure the best quality and standards for Pemko’s final product.Focus and Responsibilities:Position Focus• Purchase Order management: Create, Monitor, Push/Pull• Cost/Value Analysis on supplier’s products and services including RFQ exercises• Heavy Involvement in negotiation of all purchased parts, components, and materials• Develop and maintain key supplier relationships• Research and recommend new suppliers to improve cost, performance, and quality• Manage and measure supplier performance• Engage with quality, engineering, and manufacturing regarding non conforming materials. Resolve issues that meet both customer and company expectations• Prepare management reports/files• Communicate with accounting and suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies to ensure balance between contractual purchase orders and invoices• Manage transitions of suppliers and products• Embrace a fast paced environment that requires a sense of urgency in relation to the needs of both internal and external customers• Other duties and responsibilities as determinedResponsibilities• Purchase Order management: Create, Monitor, Push/Pull• Perform Cost/Value Analysis on supplier’s products and services• Negotiate cost of purchased parts, components, and materials• Manage and measure supplier performance related to quality and deliverables• Track Stock Outs. Monitor Inventory Levels.• Manage material and inventory levels through support of forecasting, planning, and inventory analysis• Participate in team meetings, trainings, workshops for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functionsEducational Requirements, Skills And Abilities• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent related field experience preferred.• 5+ years of Supply Chain Experience• APICS Certification a plus• Strong analytical and decision making skills in forecasting, planning, and inventory management.• High Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.)• Excellent negotiation skills.• Strong communication skills (verbal and written.)• Ability to influence and work through cross-functional teams without formal authority.• Understanding of cost reduction initiatives and strategies.• Previous experience preferred.We are the ASSA ABLOY GroupOur people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
