BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Safely, accurately, and efficiently complete final assembly of tractors to meet customer demand.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

1. Ensure daily inspections are completed for forklifts, overhead cranes, and all other equipment before use in assembly.
2. Perform specific duties on the assembly line as assigned.
3. Perform rework on units if/when needed.
4. Check the quality of completed units and confirm they are equipped to customer’s requests and submit completed checklists.
5. Drive completed units to staging area.
6. May oversee the return of recycled crates and tires to KBT.

SPECIAL PROJECTS
Assemble show tractors and repair damaged inventory when necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:
High School Diploma or equivalent

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:
  • Experience with hand tools, including air driven tools.
  • Ability to operate (or learn how to operate) overhead cranes.
  • Experience with driving fork lifts and squeeze lifts.
  • Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):
  • Overhead crane, fork lifts, tractors and hand tools.
  • Computer, telephone, copier
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, effectively identify/handle objects and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Requires sufficient visual acuity/dexterity/coordination to safely and efficiently operate machinery.
  • The position will require walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature shifts inherent to a distribution center environment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Performance of the duties of this job will expose the person to potential hazards including, noise, chemicals, paints, fuels, dust, heat, moving parts and operation of mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • The position may require walking, standing, stooping and transporting materials or parts on a regular basis, up to OSHA limits.
