JBT AeroTech manufactures and services airport ground support equipment (plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles and cargo loading systems), airport gate equipment (Jetway brand), and military equipment.

An Assembler I troubleshoots, repairs, and assembles mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Use various types of hand tools in the assembly of electro-mechanical products
• Use and interpret mechanical drawings and bills of material
• Make mechanical connections using nuts, bolts, washers and screws
• Use fitting equipment such as drills, files and grinders
• Make electrical connections using pre-fabricated harnesses
• Use cutters, wire strippers and crimping tools
• Self-audit/inspect assembled work using drawings and checklists
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment

• 3+ years experience with medium/heavy mechanical assembly required.
• Certification to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material and electrical schematics.
