Overview:
John Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT) is a leading global technology solutions provider to high-value segments of the food and beverage industry with focus on proteins, liquid foods, and automated guided vehicles. JBT designs, produces, and services sophisticated products and systems for multi-national and regional food companies through its FoodTech segment. JBT also sells critical equipment and services to domestic and international air transportation customers through its AeroTech segment.
JBT AeroTech manufactures and services airport ground support equipment (plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles and cargo loading systems), airport gate equipment (Jetway brand), and military equipment.
An Assembler I troubleshoots, repairs, and assembles mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Use various types of hand tools in the assembly of electro-mechanical products

Use and interpret mechanical drawings and bills of material
- Make mechanical connections using nuts, bolts, washers and screws

Use fitting equipment such as drills, files and grinders
- Make electrical connections using pre-fabricated harnesses

Use cutters, wire strippers and crimping tools
- Self-audit/inspect assembled work using drawings and checklists

Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).

3+ years experience with medium/heavy mechanical assembly required.

Certification to operate powered industrial trucks.

Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material and electrical schematics.
