What you are good at


In your role as an Asset Transfer Hotline Associate, you will provide best in class service and handle calls regarding incoming and outgoing transfer requests for Schwab clients. You will also collaborate with both clients, teammates, and other financial institutions to ensure the expedient receipt and delivery of assets. Asset Transfer Services is committed to leading the industry by creating the best asset transfer experience for our clients, internal business partners and contra/broker firms. If you are an unlicensed candidate and desire to grow your career in the financial services industry, you will have the ability to participate in a self-study program to obtain your securities licenses, if you desire. In this role, you will have the flexibility to work from home after a hybrid training period.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of work experience, preferably in financial services, operations, customer service or client support.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess proven transfer of account experience in the financial services industry, coupled with proven customer service skills and experience.

  • Excellent communication skills (English) both verbal and written.
  • Series 7 License is preferred.
  • 2+ years of college study in finance, economics, business administration, or related area preferred.
  • 2+ year of work experience, preferably in financial services, operations, or client support.
  • The ability to switch gears throughout the day to assist with meeting critical cut-off times or high-volume processing spikes.
  • Flexibility is a key aspect of this role and the ideal candidate will need to be equally comfortable with direct client interaction as they receive inbound client service calls and network internally to research and resolve client operational issues.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong relationships with clients and partnerships with internal associates as well as key contacts at contra brokerage firms.
  • Passion for working in a team environment - contributing toward departmental and team goals and objectives.
  • Diligent and meticulous.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high quality service and meet internal and external client expectations.
  • Establish and develop relationships across different departments.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Proactive behavior by anticipating clients' needs and taking ownership as the point of contact working towards a resolution in a timely manner in order to a deliver a consistent, superior, client experience.
  • Ability to prioritize routine multiple tasks effectively within well-defined guidelines and time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to multi-task to perform multiple sophisticated tasks with a superior level of attention to detail.

Please note: flexibility in scheduling is required for this position. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 7:00 pm ET. Our staffing needs will be evaluated during your first few weeks of training and your initial schedule will be assigned at that time. Depending on your schedule, you may be eligible for a shift differential. Although we will try to give you advance notice, your assigned schedule may be changed at any point during your employment.
