We help our clients build their brands and achieve their business goals while navigating shifting media and industry environments.
We are looking for an Assistant Account Executive to support the Samsung Mobile team working on our most cutting-edge integrated communications work. You’ll be an integral part of a global team (U.S., Korea, UK) helping one of the world’s largest mobile tech brands build integrated plans for some of today’s hottest devices in consumer technology. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Participating in brainstorms
    • Monitoring and flagging coverage across client, competitor, and industry news; also includes developing coverage reports and flagging major media moves
    • Act as a bridge between global Edelman teams supporting client work, ensuring there is continuity and consistency across channels and work
    • Conducting and compiling research
    • Developing briefing materials, including schedules, messaging and reporter background to support media interviews
    • Research, outline, write, edit, and proofread press materials, specifically press releases, talk tracks, media briefing documents and more
    • Assisting with event logistics, including developing event trackers, venue and vendor coordination, spokesperson/executive prep, staffing events, identifying target media, and supporting clients at major national and global events
    • Understanding key client information including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors
    • Supporting crisis communications efforts, including scenario planning, Q&A development, and developing risk assessments.
    • Providing client service administration including preparing client status and activity reports, attending client meetings (developing agendas and recaps), compiling client and competitor coverage reports, scheduling, and logistics
    • Assisting with new business, including compiling company research, developing competitive landscape analyses, and contributing to strategy development.

Basic Qualifications:

    • This is an entry-level position. Candidates should demonstrate an interest and understanding of the communications marketing industry and basic principles of integrated communications marketing.
    • Previous internship experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of tech industry landscape and top tech journalists, outlets, influencers
    • General knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, etc.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communications skills
    • Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines and assignments
    • Solid knowledge of the MS Office suite
    • Demonstrates strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teams
    • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities through extracurricular activities
    • Focus on problem solving and have confidence to proactively share your ideas
    • Take pride in your work

$40,000 - $50,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
