Position Details
The Athletic Department at The University of Tampa has a position available for an Assistant Coach in Women's Soccer. The position will assist with coaching, scheduling, recruiting, fund raising and community promotions. Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of NCAA nationally competitive Women's Soccer Program. This position reports to the Head Coach, Women's Soccer.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in all aspects of recruiting to include identification, evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes that fit The University of Tampa's athletic and academic profile.
2. Assist Head Coach with the daily practice planning and implementation.
3. Assist Head Coach with preparation for competition by game planning through video breakdown and other opponent assessment.
4. Organize team travel, fundraising and correspondence.
5. Monitor and assist in academic progress of team, including study halls, advising and helping with social issues.
6. Assist with long-term scheduling for individual matches and our annual tournament.
7. Direct home game facility set-up, staff assignments and supervision.
8. Other duties as assigned by the athletic administration, head coach or Athletic Director.
9. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
2. Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations and ability to successfully pass the annual NCAA Recruiting exam.
3. Knowledge of soccer sport rules.
4. Ability to manage a group of student athletes and command their respect.
5. Ability to identify quality student athletics.
6. Ability to operate recruiting software specially ARMS.
7. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. Previous collegiate coaching experience and/or high-level collegiate playing experience preferred.
9. Experience with MS Office especially Word and Excel.
10. Knowledge and ability to use Social Media Outlets.
11. Self-Starter.
12. Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
13. Experience with Photoshop.
14. Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday, ARMS, Spiideo, Catapult and Microsoft Office.
15. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
16. Ability to cut & prepare game & training film for scouting reports and player meetings.

Monday-Sunday as needed. Availability to work after hours, weekends and holidays as required by team schedule.
