Job Description Summary
This position serves in a highly visible function reporting to the Senior Associate Director, Employer Relations and Recruiting (ERR), in the Pulsifer Career Development Center (PCDC). The primary duties of this role are to help manage all aspects of companies hiring Bentley students for jobs and internships and to provide exceptional customer service by managing employer events (both in person and virtually) for Bentley’s corporate partners. The employee is a critical member of the Employer Relations and Recruiting team within the Pulsifer Career Development Center and acts as the first point of contact for many corporate and recruiting partners. This candidate will become highly skilled with all the technology and algorithms of Handshake (student job search and recruiting system) and be able to advise students on it as well as use it to promote events for employers. This team member will need to be highly skilled with the technology and the use of Brazen for virtual events for corporate partners and students to have successful networking events in a remote/virtual environment. This team member will be a key point of contact for inputting information into the current “CRM” within Handshake and any future CRMs that will be utilized. This position assists with on-campus recruiting efforts and semi-annual career fairs. This team member will help track data for key corporate partners to create corporate engagement reports for PCDC staff and University Advancement colleagues. The Assistant Director will manage multiple ad hoc projects and utilize social media to promote ERR activities. Assisting career coaches with their specific events as needed will be a function of this role also. Working with the Executive Director of the Pulsifer Career Development Center, the secondary function of this role is to assist with identifying companies in diverse geographic locations relevant to where Bentley students want to work, where Bentley admissions is seeking to grow a pipeline of incoming students, and where the hot job markets are. Finally, this team member will also assist the Executive Director of the PCDC in partnering with the External Relations Director(s) of Strategic Accounts to share information on overlapping corporate partners.

May advise students on interview professionalism as it relates to Bentley’s policies as needed.

Will assist with all logistics prior to the two large career fairs held twice per academic year and help manage career fairs the day of and assist with any follow up work.

Continue to advance skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and existing and new social media platforms. Will be highly skilled on LinkedIn to research alumni.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of experience or Associate’s degree with 5 years of experience in a business setting, event planning or relevant career services’ experience.

Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media knowledge and skill.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong listening skills, excellent attention to detail and driven.
