Provide recommendations on segmentation strategies for solicitation and engagement campaigns. Responsible for ongoing data analysis of solicitation and engagement strategies to drive future success towards alumni giving and engagement goals. Collaborate with the Advancement Information Systems team to create efficiencies in data extraction and reporting. Participate in testing and validation efforts related to data extraction and reporting.
Essential Job Functions
Create queries, exports, and other lists/reports following the Annual Fund’s segmentation strategy and provide all data for Annual Fund appeals and campaigns. This includes manipulation of data and formatting for use in mail and email projects as well as quality assurance check of data to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies.
Provide analysis for key metrics, recommend target segments for solicitation and engagement efforts, and report on results from myriad activities, including Day of Giving, student calling program, reunion giving, mass mail and email appeals, events, volunteer opportunities, and more.
Track and report progress on fiscal year strategies using key metrics; suggest additional metrics to track and recommend changes to the plan based on analysis.
Develop a comprehensive testing strategy for outreach that will support the university’s long-term growth.
Design, create, and maintain business process related documentation for data projects.
In collaboration with the Advancement Information Systems team, participate in thorough testing and validation efforts for deliverables such as reports, data lists and application, ensuring timely and accurate results.
In collaboration with Prospect Research, identify new opportunities to solicit and engage with unique and diverse populations

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of speed and accuracy, with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Excel. Able to anticipate and resolve problems using initiative, flexibility, creativity, and a teamwork approach. Ability to synthesize, evaluate and convey information in a clear and cohesive manner. Excellent information technology skills with an aptitude to learn and effectively utilize a variety of software tools at a “power user” level.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar CRM system. Previous experience working in a higher education environment or a development/advancement office.
Experience with queries, analyzing reports, and presenting findings.
Ability to uncover hidden trends in a volume of data.
