Primary Purpose:
Establish relationships with alumni, friends and other interested individuals and connect them with opportunities to advance the College of Law through financial contributions and volunteer leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward annual fund donors to the College of Law; recommend and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies of individual prospects, working with administration, faculty and volunteers as appropriate; meet with prospects and volunteers, traveling as necessary.
- Work in conjunction with the department leader to develop a comprehensive Annual Fund strategy and provide support in the development of collateral materials. Strategy to include call, text, social media, email, physical mail and event solicitation platforms.
- Work with the department leader and the Office of Gift Planning to facilitate a Planned Giving program at the College of Law.
- Work with the department leader to outline annual and incremental quantitative fundraising goals and align activity to meet or exceed these goals.
- Commit to a reasonable number of donor contacts in pursuit of Annual Fund and major gift goals.
- Represent the College of Law at events in the community and provide staff leadership at events sponsored by the College of Law. Coordinate with the department leaders and the College of Law Communications Office to develop stories and share event and newsworthy information with alumni.
- Coordinate with the department leader and College of Law Communications Office the production of the Stetson Lawyer magazine and other mailed and emailed communication pieces.
- Works with the Communications Office to brand and maintain the Development and Alumni Relations website.
- Manages the alumni portfolio for alumni cultivation and solicitation.
- Input outreach, meeting synopses, proposals into customer relationship management database.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends on occasion is required.
- Maintains a collaborative work environment and works well with others.

Bachelor's degree required. Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in a non- profit organization(s) or in a closely related field such as marketing or communications. Additional special skills and characteristics include the following:

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Raisers Edge fundraising database a plus.
