This role is responsible for providing leadership in the Office of Student Education Services (OSES) and in designing and implementing services associated with student success. Also responsible for overseeing and implementing the office’s Peer Education Program with complete decision-making authority for the program. Will also assist in managing every aspect of the office when the director is not available or is called upon to do so. Will represent the office at university events, maintain a professional and welcoming office environment, and manage the office systems as to not create any interruption in student services.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for providing academic coaching to Marquette students which includes serving as one of the many universities’ lead academic coaches/trainers and performing outreach to struggling students that have been identified by Marquette’s Academic Engagement Team.
2. Manage student success initiatives.
a. Teach sections of the MARQ 1030
b. Participate in the creation and implementation of Marquette’s Student Success Initiatives
3. Oversee the Peer Educator (PALS) Program. The program provides study skills to students and makes referrals to the appropriate university staff members. The role is also responsible for hiring and supervising the PALS student employees.
4. Oversee the centralized training for all peer mentors/educators at Marquette University. This training will be comprised of representatives from all Marquette colleges as well as other Marquette Offices.
5. Responsible for leading the Office of Student Educational Services when the director is unavailable or tending to other OSES responsibilities/events.
6. Assist the director with the management of the OSES budget.
7. Serve on university wide committees dedicated to improving Marquette student’s academic success/retention.
8. Assist in Tutoring Training
9. Assist OSES Director in further developing Marquette’s academic coaching curriculum.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or related program.

3 or more years of related experience
Knowledge of Student Development and Learning Theory
Microsoft Office and Teams
Ability to learn Marquette software (CheckMarq, Marqetplace, Inspire, Retain, etc.).
Knowledge of Student Development and Learning Theory
Experience with coaching/working with students 1 on 1
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work well on a team.
