This position will partially be based in the following office location.
Manchester, NH
However, partial remote work from the following states may also be considered: Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont.
The Opportunity
The Assistant Director of Video Communications supports the university's communications across multiple audiences and enhancing creative, video, and digital communications efforts throughout the university. You will be part of the Office of External Affairs and Communications (OEAC) and oversees video and creative projects from conception to delivery for the Communications Team. You will work with the Communications Team to develop video content strategies that support the university's goals and serves as a liaison with other teams across the university to ensure deadlines are met and stays up to date with industry developments and tools.
You Will:
  • Support the Office of External Affairs and Communications and other university partners to develop multimedia projects including video and digital projects.
  • Identify opportunities for the creation and use of digital and multimedia communication strategies.
  • Manage the production process including concept development, storyboards, shooting, and editing a range of video projects for the Office of External Affairs and Communications team.
  • Draft, optimize, and publish content for SNHU audiences on a variety of digital platforms (including social media and websites).
  • Implement website updates, assist with web accessibility, and analyze site metrics for Office of External Affairs and Communications teams.
  • Collaborate with team members on digital communications needs.
  • Work with external contractors and vendors to monitor project budgets and progress.
  • Ensure all video and digital content is consistent with university branding and messaging.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and the latest technologies and provide guidance and feedback to the team on best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HSD/GED and 5+ years of experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, InDesign).
  • Experience filming and editing interviews and documentary-style videos using the latest camera technology and best practices.
  • Video editing and animation skills.
  • Comfortable working with senior level executives.
  • Understanding of new media content distribution channels and experience with multimedia storytelling.
  • Understanding of live broadcast and webcast production and/or creative video production.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with marketing automation vendors (i.e. Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Mailchimp) and media monitoring software (Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack)
  • Photography skills.
