Assoc Dir, Product Design

The Associate Director, Experience Design, has 10+ years of experience as a leader and practitioner of user-centric product design. They manage and work with a team of Product Designers and Experience Architects creating digital products such as web sites, mobile sites, mobile apps, experiential UX/UI and voice apps.

They manage all aspects of the User Experience & Product Design digital workflow, including up-front user research, testing and experience strategy; as well as interaction design, visual design and motion design for digital properties. They work closely with Brand Creative, Strategy, Production, Technology, et al; so that the end digital product truly exceeds both the users’ needs and the requirements of the business.

They ensure flawless execution of digital properties that are not only engaging and compelling, but also useful and usable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Estimating scopes, timelines, hours, working alongside Integrated Production

  • Managing resources, and placement of resources for optimized utilization across the organization

  • Responsible for the overall quality and craft of the end-product or digital property, with the end goal of creating experiences that are engaging and usable.

  • Responsible for creating case studies around the amazing work and output

  • Responsible for contributing to client RFPs and pitches

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships across brand(s) and agency disciplines (brand creative, strategy) through creative concept development, strategic direction, and final execution

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage User Experience & Product Design (XD) teams through the entire product lifecycle.

  • Manage and oversee the full digital workflow as it pertains to user-centric design.

  • Manage rapid prototyping and user testing process with regards to ongoing sprints.

  • Identify and hire top talent in the Digital Product Design space to help grow and move forward the new capability of XD at IPG Health.

  • Help Production and the PMO with the scoping process on new projects.

  • Participate with Creative, Strategy, Technology and other departments on RFIs, RFPs, pitches and client presentations.


EDUCATION:

DEGREE/DIPLOMA AREA OF STUDY REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Digital Design & Interaction Design or related fields.



LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Agile/Scrum Frameworks & Methodologies

  • Regulatory Compliance in Healthcare Advertising and Promotions



KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Expertise with digital design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch

- Expertise with asset delivery tools and methods such as Zeplin - Expertise with prototyping in tools mentioned above or others such as Invision or AxureRP for use with client reviews, and user testing - Expertise with design validation tools and methods

  • Knowledge and proficiency with other Adobe CC tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Bonus points for expertise with motion design, sound design, 3D design and how to apply those skills to user interaction

Salary

$157,750 to $181,400 Annually.

The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting.
