Associate Content Systems Analyst, Remote

Overview:
Primary responsibilities include configuring and supporting content management systems to sustain the online publishing environment. Duties include analyzing requirements and improvement requests from end users; writing technical specifications; supporting the development process using internal and external resources; configuring application software, databases, and operating systems; writing, testing, and deploying code to servers; solving problems and analyzing issues as they arise; and supporting end users—participating in all aspects of the software life cycle. A key function of the role includes translating customer/end user requirements to deliver efficient solutions.

Other responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and improving existing products and applications; crafting technical specifications; and general support for online product development.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Supporting relational and XML-based content systems
  • Effective project management by speaking with stakeholders and end users to identify requirements, improvement requests, produce timelines, and assess risk and mitigation strategies
  • Handling internal and external resources to ensure change requests are implemented accurately and on schedule while keeping customers advised of on-going development priorities
  • Writing technical specifications and documentation
  • Writing XQuery, XSLT and Java code to implement system improvements.
  • Testing and deploying code
  • Providing support for production systems, including troubleshooting and analysis, communication with external vendors, and testing
  • Deploying new systems and applications as needed
  • Administering the MarkLogic and RSuite application environment on both Windows and Linux servers.
Qualifications & Education:
  • One to five years of proven track record working with content management systems and publishing workflows.
  • Solid understanding and minimum of one year of experience working with XML, XQuery, and XSLT.
  • Experience working with metadata modeling in a content management system.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience working with Marklogic, XML, Java, Docker, Nifi, XQuery, and XSLT.
  • Experience working with XML-based tools and editors, such as Schematron, XForms, and Oxygen.
  • Knowledge of scripting, databases, as well as declarative and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience using SVN and/or Git, as well as automated deployment/testing methodologies such as Jenkins.
  • Experience meeting with customers/end users and translating requirements, supervising progress, and leading overall project direction.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
  • Effective communications skills, both oral and written, are required. Must be effective at understanding and communicating with an array of stakeholders: project management, programmers and tech staff, upper management, other SAGE staff, external contractors, vendors, clients, and customers.
  • Excellent Leadership and Teamwork. Working effectively with team members at various levels to achieve results through coordinated, goal-oriented approach
  • Problem-solving and Analytical skills. Can effectively analyze and trouble shoot issues, work with teammates to overcome obstacles, and identify and quickly deploy solutions.
  • Multitasking. Ability to manage multiple projects, switching quickly from task to task, as needed
  • Results Focus and Accountability. Achieving results within project schedules and timelines, setting ambitious goals, prioritizing tasks, accepting accountability, and providing leadership.

Compensation at SAGE is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to skill set, nature and level of experience, qualifications, and other relevant considerations. We anticipate the minimum full-time salary range for this position to be between $76,876.80 - $96,096.00. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses or benefits.
