The Role: Associate Director, Communications
The Location: New York, NY
The Grade: 12 (relevant to internal applicants only)

The Associate Director, Communications will manage and support communications initiatives with specific focus on technology and innovation. You will work in close alignment with teammates across S&P Global’s divisions and around the world as part of the enterprise communications team.

The Impact: Our data and technology are at the foundation of the essential insights S&P Global provides the markets. This team member will be a critical strategic communications partner supporting our EVP, Chief Information Officer, in his executive communications and visibility (both internal and external), as well as elevating key initiatives coming out of the technology organization. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving increased engagement with our technology strategy across the enterprise, while also raising the profile of our transformative tech programming externally. As we continue to accelerate the experience we provide our people and customers, this is a highly visible role both within the Enterprise Technology function and across the company more broadly.

Responsibilities:
Develop a full-year communications strategy in support of our Chief Information Officer

Craft internal memos, blogs, video scripts and talking points to support both the CIO and technology initiatives

Provide support in preparation for town halls, roundtables, and other internal events

Identify opportunities and pitch stories to tech-focused media to raise the profile of our CIO and technology team externally

Shape and launch communications campaigns to drive internal engagement

Review and contribute content to enterprise newsletters

Measure and report on the effectiveness of these efforts via surveys and other KPIs

Qualifications:
At least 8 years of communications experience, with significant focus on executive communications; experience in technology PR/communications is a plus

Exceptional writer and storyteller with ability to capture leaders’ personal communication styles

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to easily build relationships and inspire trust and confidence from senior leaders

Experience working globally in a large multinational, matrixed organization or agency environment

Creativity and willingness to try new communications formats and push the boundaries

Eagerness to explore cutting-edge content creation tools alongside our technology team

Ability to develop KPIs to measure success and use data and insights to inform communications decisions, influence stakeholders and demonstrate results

Effective management of priorities and level of service to our stakeholders

Execution to the highest of standards, with strong attention to detail and deadlines

Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $97,200 to $175,650. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
