Job Description
The Associate Director (AD), Market Access Operations Analytics is a key member of the US Commercial Operations team to drive and support operational excellence and commercial effectiveness for our US Value & Access organization and ensure data process, platforms and priorities are aligned to accelerate analytics and insight capabilities. This role will facilitate the conversion of data into meaningful insights that enable the broader organization to understand Value & Access performance and drivers in each market.
This opportunity is based at Kite’s HQ in Santa Monica, CA but a remote arrangement may be considered and include travel to HQ (2-3X per quarter).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead operational excellence efforts for field-based Market Access Directors (MAD) team and Patient Services to reduce patient access barriers
Analyze patient and account performance data with a payer and market access lens
Oversee analysis of and reporting on US Value & Access data and the trends in each market to support strategic planning
Utilize and integrate market research and analytics to advance internal understanding of how changes in the markets and healthcare ecosystem affect patient access and pricing/reimbursement
Build and assess commercial effectiveness through KPI and operational metric development, performance tracking and analysis, and dashboards to support ongoing process performance monitoring
Partner across Value & Access/Market Access and other cross functional partners to scope, prioritize, and deliver data analyses that inform process improvement decisions
Connect disparate data sources (e.g., claims, non-retail data, financial/reimbursement data, hospital portal) to uncover actionable Value & Access/Market Access opportunities and insights
Ensure alignment between Value & Access/Market Access, analytics, and technology teams when gathering, prioritizing, delivering, and maintaining data and systems investments i.e., CRM
Provide strategic market insights and guidance to cross-functional business partners i.e., Value & Access/Market Access, marketing, sales, and medical to develop insight, including market access opportunities and threats, for marketplace pods and lead formal/informal discussion and workshops to generate recommended plans of action
Assist in budget management, and facilitate project prioritization and project management
Manage story development and presentation of analytical solutions and recommendations to ensure stakeholder buy-in
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate and 2+ years’ experience OR
Master’s degree and 8+ years’ experience OR
Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years’ experience OR
High School Diploma/GED and 14+ years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years industry analytics experience
10+ years of healthcare experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, health care, and/or strategy consulting, with at least 4+ years of specific experience and expertise in coverage, access and reimbursement drivers impacting the biopharmaceutical industry
Experience in market access / managed care and related data and understanding of market access industry requirements and trends (i.e., hospital reimbursement, medical claims, outpatient 340B reimbursement)
Familiarity with data reporting and visualization resources (e.g., Excel, Python, Tableau, Alteryx)
Previous experience in oncology/hematology or CART
Outstanding ability to run multiple projects in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with changing priorities and significant time pressures
Ability to develop and maintain a strong team, including external partners, relationships while working towards positive results
Possess a willingness and ability to work hands-on and with a sense of urgency
