Salary for Announcement
The minimum of the pay range for this position is $57,600. We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $57,600 - $68,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Student Organizations and Leadership Programs is a creative and passionate student affairs professional who operates from a lens of understanding and prioritizing equity and inclusion in working with MSU Denver's diverse students. The Associate Director is responsible for leading a comprehensive student organization program and provides vision and support for the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion's (CMEI) co-curricular leadership programming. To this end, the Associate Director will identify and execute strategies to both broaden and deepen student engagement at the University.
The Associate Director will actively collaborate with academic departments and Student Affairs functional areas to enhance and strengthen existing student organizations and leadership programming and to promote the development of new student organizations and leadership programming. The Associate Director sets expectations for student organization advising, leads the training and development for advisors, and is both innovative and strategic in setting the overall advising agenda for student organizations. The Associate Director has a keen attention to safety and risk management considerations, and partners with key institutional colleagues to ensure that student organizations are operating safety and ethically.
The Associate Director is responsible for the supervision of the Assistant Director of Student Leadership Programs and the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life and Student Government. As such, the Associate Director has shared responsibility for the overall operations of the institution's fraternity and sorority chapters, student government, and leadership development programs and works with CMEI staff to synergize student leadership development across these domains.
