Associate Director of Volunteer Programs
Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Associate Director of Volunteer Programs in the Career & Civic Engagement Center.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Civic Engagement, the Associate Director of Volunteer Programs provides oversight to Civic Engagement’s co-curricular community service programs. The Associate Director works closely with community partners to maintain and develop existing partnerships that support these programs and assists in developing new relationships and programs that meet the needs of both community partners and students. The Associate Director will supervise a team of undergraduate Student Coordinators as well as, on occasion, 1 – 2 graduate students. This individual will assist in the coordination and facilitation of various annual programs related to civic engagement and will collaborate with all members of the Career & Civic Engagement Center team to build sustainable partnerships with organizations that provide internships, field placements, civic engagement opportunities, and employment to Bryn Mawr students.
Advanced degree preferred. Familiarity with the field of service-learning as well as three to five years’ experience in volunteer management/training and program development/coordination desired. Commitment to social justice and ability to utilize anti-oppression and anti-racist frameworks in their approach to partnership development and program coordination required. Candidates should have some data collection and analysis experience as well as the ability and willingness to learn new technology connected to data management. This role requires an interest in working with diverse populations, both one-on-one and in groups. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to working in a liberal arts environment and successfully represent the College to external partners. The ability to work some nights and weekends with advanced notice and planning is required.
The annual salary range for this position is $59,000 - $65,000.
